Medical

Motor sport is a mechanical sport, but it is a human one too!

There would be no sport without the driver behind the wheel, and, of course, all the other actors in our sport.

This section focuses mainly on the health and safety of the driver and co-driver, both from a driver’s - and support personnel’s - point of view (part 1), and from an organiser’s point of view (part 2).

From a driver’s point of view, good monitoring of his health and his capacity to compete is the starting point for his own safety and for that of the other motor sport actors.

From an organiser’s point of view, the FIA rules concerning the rescue and medical services on the track (and all the way to the hospital if necessary) are aimed at providing the best possible immediate care in the shortest possible time.
